There are billions of people that living in this world, 7.6 billions of people exactly. You and I are also the part of it. Everytime I travel to some new places or being in some crowded places for quite some time, my thought start to wander. How can 7.6 billions of people in this world, and not a single one of us share the same faces and personalities? I mean it is not a small number that you can make one person vary from another. Although I already asked this question a lot to my self now and then, I still kept asking this kind of question everytime I am stuck in the sea of people.

KOREA 101

I just got back from my one week trip to Korea. Here are some tips and my itinerary for your reference! Hope you can enjoy Korea as much as I do.

3 things you have to know before visiting Korea :
1.  In Korea, Mandarin is more useful than English, increase your Mandarin skill and you are good to go

2. If you are planning to visit Jeju, be ready for the worst. Since it is not a big city like Seoul, you can only find some people that can speak Mandarin or English. You better find a car rental or local guide there so you can travel conveniently, because the distance between point A to point B may take up to more than 1 hours by public transportation, besides if you are not staying at Jeju city (i.e Seogwipo) and it is not in the high season you may or may not find other pedestrian to ask for direction

3. Prepare everything before you go, especially your itinerary. Plan everything well and learn some basic Korean!

5 things to do in Korea:

1. Go to the palace // Bukchon cultural village and experience wearing hanbok and strolling around this place!   

2.  Watch Nanta show! There are 5 energetic people that performing interesting story line with cooking theme

3. Shop bunch of Korean make up and skincare product! Korea is the heaven of good make up and skincare with affordable price, even one of my friend said that it is easier to find Innisfree here in myeongdong than 7-11

What to do during summer break!

It is that time of the year again, that time when you can eat ice cream as much as you can and chilling by the pool as long as you want! Here are some things that you can do in this so-damn-hot-weather season, so called "summer".

Old street

Spring break is coming! It is time to spend our holiday on something different, at this time I will introduce you a old street in Taichung.

There are several famous old street in Taiwan. For example Tamsui old street (taipei), Sanxia old street (new taipei city), Jiufen old street(new taipei city), Lukang old street (Lukang Town, Changhua county)

If you buy a postcard there, you can get a special stamp from this old street.

Taiwan Cherry Blossom Season

"....and suddenly you know, it is time to start something new and trust the magic of  beginnings"

Taiwan has no "snow" season, that is why it is a perfect place to visit throughout the year without need to worrying about the weather here. To start this beautiful beginnings of 2017, let's visit some cherry blossom spot and hope for something awesome is going to be happened this year!

1. Yangmingshan National Park (March-April)

Yangmingshan National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Taiwan. It features volcanic formations and fragrant blooming flowers during all four seasons.

....and all at once summer collapsed into fall


I know it is a little bit too late to share one of the best Taiwan's Coral Island in this kind of sweater weather. But since Taiwan do not really has fall and the winter here is not too cold, I think you can try to have some beach vacation during fall-winter season.

Little LiuQiu is the only Island that I have ever visited in Taiwan archipelago (of course beside the main island). I went there by boat from DongGang Harbor from Pingtung county. This island area is only about 6.8 km². Therefore, you do not really need a tour guide. Tourist usually rent a motorcycle and stroll around by themselves. It only takes about 2 hours to explore the whole island.

August.

The month of August is one my favorite month in a year. This year is my 18th August in my life, I finally turned 18th years old several days ago. Two years more to reach my twenties. I do not feel so-young anymore.

Thank you 17th for all the sweet and sour memories. I finally made my first money before my 18th birthday. What I mean here is, I finally made money with what I have already learned for years in school (because honestly I made my very first money in elementary school by selling things xD). Well, maybe it is not special for you that already made money in young age but for me it is one of my achievement.


Last year I made a decision to continue my university abroad which means I have to live far far a way from home. I celebrated my 17th birthday 1,749 miles from home with no party nor birthday dinner with family. I felt desperate with all the culture shock, language that I'm not fluently with, and new friends that I haven't found yet. I can not give up by things like that, because it is all the decision that I've made and I have to take the risk. Now, I'm not really pass from all of that struggle but hey I'm trying to! 18, I am ready!

How to start summer break

At that night, I still had no plan about what to do during my summer break. Apparently, a friend of mine offered me to go to Pingtung. Long story short, we will work there for about 2 weeks, the Boss will not give us any salary but he will provide us accommodation, eat, and also take us to some places that worth visit for.

We chose a homestay that located in WanLuan township. Do not ask me why I chose that place, because I have no answer for you. It is just my feeling that it is going to be fun to work at a homestay! The next thing I remember is I was happily spent my two weeks with a friend of mine, and the other friends from different university that we met there. We spent that two weeks to experience life from different viewpoint. I think it is one of my best decision that I took in my life to do stuff like this. I mean, hey it is rare to have such a chance to experience stuff like this!

Have I told u that WanLuan village is a very  charming place? The oldest Catholic Church in Taiwan is located in this village. That is why this village is filled with bunch of Catholic ornaments. The locals leads a very simple life. The village is beautifully decorated with wall mural and some St. Mary shrines by the road side. Such a great place to visit during your short escape.

Spring Break

I decided to spend my spring break in Kaohsiung, here is some of my journey in Kaohsiung. It is located in southern-western Taiwan, the second biggest city in Taiwan after Taipei (capital city of Taiwan). We did not go to a lot of places, because we were enjoying our time in each of the places. So, why rush so much ?

Our first stop for our first meal in Kaohsiung is a Korean restaurant we eat that famous Korean fried chicken with honey sauce. It's taste? I must say it is so dayum!

Rainbow Village

One week before my mid term begin, I want to share about the most colorful village in Taichung. It is known as Rainbow Village a.k.a 彩虹村. It took an hour to there by bus from Taichung Railway Station. With all the paintings on the wall house in this village, it is become one of the most famous tourist attraction in Taichung. All of the painting were created and painted by an 88-year-old veteran who came to Taiwan from Hong Kong 60 sixty years ago. It really looks great and I just couldn't stop taking photo there. It really looks like a real wonderland to me.

A Short Trip to Taipei

Taipei is the capital city of Taiwan. This city offer you so many travel destinations. Me and my roommate decided to visit Taipei before we back to our hometown. we've that 2 days 1 night vacation, so we only visit several places.

Due to my roommate is a vegetarian, so vegan restaurant was our first stop to had lunch. I was quite surprise that the spaghetti taste amazing. It was one of my best vegetarian's restaurant.

It's a village Derbyshire, England. It is the closest village to Chatsworth House. Much of it belongs to the Dukes of Devonshire , most of whom are buried in the churchyard of St.Peter's Church . (wiki)
I once heard this village from a novel by Andrea Hirata.
At first I thought it was only an imaginary village.
Apperenlty, it is real!!! I'm so excited.
And no! I've never been here before, this is just one of my wishlist city.

Taiwan 101

After graduated from my high school, I decided to study abroad. So, here I'm in a country named Taiwan. I can't talk much about this country, since I just moved here for 4 months. But I think I already found something special about "my country" for another 4 years. What are so special about Taiwan?

1. Taipei 101
Why is it called Taipei 101? Because it is a building with 101 floors, located in Taipei. It has one of the fastest elevator in the world. I've experienced this elevator, and it made my ear hurt because of the speed. Once you reach the top, it is like you can see the entire Taiwan (I think). It was considered as the tallest building in the world but now it is autoranked by Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Look to GOD, not Yourself

God has the biggest role in my life. I can talk about my life, my problems, myself, but all of them are nothing if there's no God behind it. There are many things in my life that I really can't do alone. Even when I've done my best, I still can't. I need God. Only God can help me and make it work.

Graduated.

After one year without any post from me, I think all of you think that this blog must be forgotten. No it's not!! Just like the other blogger's problem, I am just running out of topic or I'm too lazy to write any post. I just re-new the whole blog, I hope you guys love the new face of my blog though.

So, I finally graduated from my high school, and just like another graduation party. We also have prom night here. Since I don't have that 0 size body, it's a little bit hard for me to find a dress that fit my body well. So, I decided to design my own prom night gown. No! Don't expect that beautiful princess gown nor the one that made by the pro designer. I'm not just an amateur, I have no skill about design or anything related to drawing. So I just tell to the tailor what kind of gown that I would like to wear and she help me to sketch it.
