Old street

Spring break is coming! It is time to spend our holiday on something different, at this time I will introduce you a old street in Taichung.

There are several famous old street in Taiwan. For example Tamsui old street (taipei), Sanxia old street (new taipei city), Jiufen old street(new taipei city), Lukang old street (Lukang Town, Changhua county)

If you buy a postcard there, you can get a special stamp from this old street.

Pull down the handle and water will flow from the other side.

It is one of the most old town in Taiwan. Lukang old street is busy during weekday or weekend, since it is one of the tourist attraction. Lukang old steeet itself is the main bussines in this area.

I love the ambience of old fashioned building there, not only the building but also stuff that they sell. From handmade ceramic, snacks that we used to loved during our childhood, collections of train ticket, the list goes on and on....

Once, a lot of historical things has happened in this place, it is proved by  the heritage of historical building that spread all around this town. One of the most beautiful building that attract me was this castle-like-building.

It cost us 70 NT for student ticket. This building is used to be a house for rich family, we can read about this family history inside this building. It also complement by a lot of stuff that used to be used by this family.
